Description
Beautiful decorative display cases, fantastically crafted in India, radiating craftsmanship.
A display case is a showcase whose contents can be viewed from multiple sides. This is because the walls are made of glass (French: vitre), although other materials, such as Perspex, are also used nowadays. There are also display cases in the form of a table, where objects are displayed lying down under a transparent top. Display cases can be found, for example, in museums, showrooms, shops, or private homes. Reasons for using a display case with a transparent glass or plastic partition may include: securing or protecting objects against contact or climatic influences; specifically “highlighting” an object — even in a literal sense, as directional light sources often enhance the attention-grabbing effect; theft prevention of valuable goods (antiques, jewelry, mobile phones); and displaying private collections or valuables.
