The Yoni Egg:
A physical aspect of tantra is the contraction of the PC muscle—the pubococcygeus muscle in full. This is the muscle you contract when you need to hold your urine. The PC muscle is a magic wand for both men and women when working with sexual energy. Strengthening the PC muscle is just like with anything else: lots of practice. You can do it anytime, anywhere: no one will notice if you rhythmically contract your PC muscle during a meeting, in the car, on your bike, or while walking through a museum. For women, there's an extra powerful tool: the egg. Look for a practice egg made of semi-precious stone, such as rose quartz. First, hold the egg below your navel to see if the stone feels comfortable for you, because you'll be using it in your most receptive emotional area, and the energetic charge of the stone always affects your energy system. Strength with Resistance: Insert the egg into your yoni and, preferably standing, practice contracting your PC muscle. You'll notice you can exert more force now that there's resistance. The same principle applies: you can make a firmer fist with an object in your hand than with an empty hand. You may experience some muscle soreness at first, as with any muscle that needs to be strengthened. Clean thoroughly after use and let the drill hole dry before reusing.
