These beautiful tumbled pieces of Covelian (also known as Covellite) are undoubtedly among the rarest gemstones we have been able to offer in recent years. Sourced from Peru and carefully tumbled to bring out the special metallic blue-purple colors to their fullest potential.
Covelian is a mineral that is only sporadically found in collectible quality. Demand for this material has increased sharply in recent years, particularly from the spiritual world, while the supply has remained very limited.
A rare gemstone
At the four grinding workshops in Peru with which we have been working closely for many years, small pockets of Covelien are found only occasionally. When material becomes available, the quantity is usually limited.
Recently, we were able to purchase a batch of only 3,200 grams of this special material. Given the scarcity, we do not expect such quantities to become available regularly.
Striking blue metallic colors
Covelien is known for its distinctive deep blue to blue-purple metallic luster. Depending on the angle of light, beautiful color reflections appear, giving each stone a unique appearance.
