Description
Reed grass (also called pampas grass, Latin name Cortaderia selloana) is a large ornamental grass native to South America, particularly the pampas of Argentina and Uruguay. It is famous for its tall, waving plumes that appear in late summer and autumn. It is often used as an ornamental grass in gardens because of its impressive plumes. It is popular as a dried flower in bouquets and interior decorations. It can also be grown in a large pot, although the plant will remain somewhat smaller
