Que Sera stone is the mineral liberite, a lithium-beryllium silicate with the chemical formula Li2BeSiO4. It belongs to the nesosilicate family. Brown or light yellow liberite has a vitreous to oily luster and, due to its hardness, lacks streaking. The crystal system is monoclinic, and the cleavage is perfect along the [010] crystal plane and distinct along [100] and [001]. The average density is 2.688 and the hardness is 7. Liberite is not radioactive. The mineral's name liberite is derived from its composition: the elements lithium and beryllium. Like most beryllium- and lithium-bearing minerals, liberite is primarily formed in pegmatites. It is also found in veins that intersect lepidolite-fluorite-magnetite rocks. The type locality is the Hsianghua Mountains, Hunan Province, China.
