Description
From a mineralogical perspective, biotite lentils are named after metamorphosed mica aggregates. The mostly black-gray-brown lentils formed during the mountain building process of northern Portugal. Due to the heating of the parent rock in the summer, lenticular formation occurs, and the rock inflates. Because of their history and their use in obstetrics in the past, biotite lentils are also called "birthing stones." In the area where they are found, they hold esoteric significance and represent individual self-development, promoting and helping to implement ideas more quickly and easily. Available in various sizes, drilled or as a pin pendant.
