Description
Lemon quartz is a modified quartz variety that is light or dark yellow in color, sometimes with a slightly greenish hue, and almost always lacking orange or brown tones. This variety is usually artificially produced by heating amethyst and iron to high temperatures. Irradiating rock crystal can also produce an intense light yellow color. The natural variety is somewhat less even in color and is particularly suitable for esoteric use. The stone has the ability to impart peace and tranquility and help people look at life with renewed meaning. It is particularly suitable for treating depression and low mood. Lemon quartz affects the solar plexus chakra but actually works well with all chakras. The natural variety is found in Hunan, China, where the finest quality is found.
