It's quite rare for new varieties of Jasper to be discovered, but one did occur in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, in early 2017. While working in the quarry, a very unusual vein of rock was discovered, which wasn't immediately apparent as Jasper. The stone had a slightly oily sheen, a characteristic of calcite. Upon examination, the Jasper was found to have small veins of clear and brown calcite. Other minerals are also present in this stone, but jasper and calcite predominate. Two stones in one, a powerful healing stone. It's a perfect combination, and the stone has the fantastic ability to create perfect harmony in your life, both emotionally and in relationships.
