Description
Pink Amethyst is a rare variety of amethyst found primarily in Patagonia, in the Argentine region. The El Chiquada mine is the most famous source there. This new variety of pink amethyst is not yet widely available. It is a particularly energetic stone with powerful healing properties. Most of these properties are related to the heart. Here is an overview of pink amethyst's most valued uses: * Has a strong influence on heart and heart muscle health. * Significantly promotes sleep, especially when placed under the pillow. * Breaks negative energy pathways and relieves stress and tension. * Provides insight to distinguish good from evil. The color of pink amethyst is due to the high concentration of hematite, which gives the quartz a pinkish hue, unlike, for example, rose quartz. The name amethyst comes from the Greek word "amethistos," meaning "against intoxication" or "not intoxicating," and stems from the ancient superstition that it protects the wearer from drunkenness.
