The first new stone for 2023 is a type of agate from Malaysia. The name Blood Moon Agate refers to the color of a full moon—red, yellow, and orange—which only occurs once every few decades. The agate is also known as Kinabalu Agate, referring to its location on Mt. Kinabalu in Malaysia. The stone is relatively unknown and rare. The location is also at a high altitude, making it difficult to exploit commercially. Mountain climbers in this region always take a piece of this stone with them for protection. This stone is locally known for its beneficial effect on the circulatory system, the intestines, and certainly also on digestion. Spiritually, this stone is especially important for those seeking truth in things and people and can also provide support during menopause and midlife crises. On May 26, 2021, we had the opportunity to see a blood moon in the Netherlands. This is a unique phenomenon that doesn't occur often. About two to three times every three years, you can observe a blood moon. During the 15-minute total solar eclipse, the moon glows red, and the moon is about 15% larger than normal. Besides this beautiful natural phenomenon, it was also possible to admire four different planets: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus.
