Rexpo (formerly known as Mathur Parfumerie Works), founded in 1932, is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of natural herbal products – oils, perfumes, soaps & shampoos, moisturizing lotions and creams, candles, incense, and other aromatic products from the old walled city of Delhi, India. With vision and entrepreneurial spirit, and focusing on customer satisfaction, the third generation of this family business now runs a large company, given the phenomenal growth in the recent past.
PRODUCT RANGE
Rexpo specializes in the production of natural and plant-based products with herbal extracts and pure essential oils, based on aromatherapy techniques and traditional naturopathic principles. Their product range includes natural essential oil, aromatherapy oil, fragrant oil, massage oil, bath oil, solid perfume, plant-based soap, herbal shampoo, hair and skin conditioner, moisturizing lotion, face packs, herbal henna powder and pastes, scented candles, natural resins, rock perfumes (myrrh, frankincense, and amber), tea and spices, incense and cones, sandalwood powder, Ayurvedic products, beeswax, etc. In addition to their oil products, they have developed accessories such as highly artistic aroma oil burners in soft stone and ceramic materials, and incense/cone holders in soft stone, copper, and wood in various attractive designs and shapes. Alongside this product line, they have diversified their range into Crafts & Furniture. This includes, among other things, textiles, home furnishings, and other fashion accessories, allowing them to serve their customers under one roof.
THE FAMILY HISTORY (The family tells):
Give us a chance to introduce ourselves. We are three brothers: Raj Kumar Mathur, Ashok Mathur, and Shiv Kumar Mathur, and a sister, Raj Kumari Mathur. Our grandfather, Mr. Jagdamba Prashad Mathur, founded a very small production unit called Mathur Parfumerie in the year 1932. It was a modest beginning to produce using specially devised formulas; the main ingredients are natural products such as herbs, plants, roots, etc. His own personal formulations were very popular in the local community. He never had a desire to work on a large scale. He was more of a family man than a businessman. He practiced his art of making perfumes, massage and body oils, incense, and herbal oils, and passed this on to his son, Mr. Durga Prashad Mathur. He simply followed his father's techniques and lived a very simple and non-entrepreneurial life. He was a very polite and generous person. His wife, Mrs. Raj Rani Mathur, helped in the shop, while he himself was busy in production. In the sixties, many foreigners were attracted to India, and tourists from various parts of the world began to visit us. We had simple and natural products to offer, which were highly appreciated at that time. It was indeed a turning point, and our products met with an overwhelming response in overseas markets. R-Expo was founded in 1972 with the motive of continuing the good work of the Mathur family and offering the best quality to its customers. We began to receive small orders from all over the world, and soon small orders were converted into large orders.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SOCIETY:
All our products are handmade, and we are proud that our company now supports over ten thousand families in India. Our organization has adopted several children from remote villages in India who are extremely poor and/or have lost one or both parents. They struggle financially to afford an education. We provide these children with everything they need, such as school uniforms, school supplies, tuition, transportation, extra support, medical care, vision care, and other resources to help them flourish as individuals.
