Description
Buddhism is a philosophical and religious movement that, according to tradition, was founded by Gautama Buddha. The goal of Buddhists is to be liberated from the cycle of rebirth, thus never having to suffer again. Buddhism gradually spread to other parts of Asia and has played a central role in the spiritual, cultural, and social development of the Eastern world. Today, Buddhism has approximately 415 million followers worldwide. Avoiding all wrongdoing, pursuing good deeds, and developing one's own mind; this is the teaching of the Buddhas.
