More information

Fantastic decorative art from Ho Chi Minh City. In Vietnam, it is known as magazine art, strips of colorful magazine magazines are folded by hand and rolled up into a roll or other form which is then processed into a larger whole, such as e.g. An animal for the wall, a vase or something else decorative. It's a real monks work to make these beautiful and colorful objects, and there are often many hours of work in one object. The works of art are often made by an organization that gives artists and their families work and food. At the making process, no child labor is used and they work in an environmentally friendly way, using no harmful glue and there is no residual waste, because this is precisely the way to give a second life to residual waste (magazines and glossy's). No object is the same and one is even more colorful than the other, so the order can differ from what you see on the website. The estimate is that mid 2017 more than 200 families are engaged in this art, and in this way they are virtually self-sufficient in their existence in Vietnam. All in all, a fantastic project that only knows winners.
