Krishna (कृष्ण, literally "black, dark, dark blue", Sanskrit for "all-attractive ') is one of the most worshiped deities in Hinduism. As such, Krishna, among other things, the main character in the Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita. In many Hindu schools Krishna is considered as an incarnation of Vishnu, in others as the Supreme Personality of highest manifestation of God energies, God himself. According to Vedic tradition, Krishna was born 5,000 years ago in Mathura, the then capital of the kingdom Shurasena (in modern Uttar Pradesh) in the land of Bharat-Varsa (present-day India). He was the eighth child of Devaki and her husband Vasudeva princess. Krishna was in a stormy night in the month of Shravan (August / September) are born on the eighth day after the full moon at midnight (Janmashtami) in a prison, and would have spent his childhood in Vrindavan (then a village, now a city). The demonic King Kamsa, destroy the brother of Devaki, wanted all the eight children she would bear. According to the latest predictions of his personal astrologer would be bad and selfish rule very soon come to an end. His sister Devaki would defy anybody to her eighth delivery less than Lord Vishnu himself ones. This would have put an end to the series of terrorist years of reign suffered by countless civilians and holy men. Kamsa therefore tried to kill this eighth child, just as he had slain all previous children of Devaki. However, Krishna's father Vasudeva escaped miraculously with the newborn boy, even before the king got wind of it, and verwissselde the baby with the newborn daughter of Yashoda and Nanda Gokula in the country. When King Kamsa finally received word that the eighth child was born, he tried to kill it, but when he wanted to get the newborn baby girl flew out of his hands up and turned into the Goddess Yogamaya. Already floating in the air, they informed him that his death was inevitable with the arrival of her brother, the Most High himself. Kamsa then decided to do everything in his power to find this child and kill.
