Description

The conch is one of the eight auspicious symbols in Tibetan Buddhism and represents the glory of the Buddha's teachings, which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch shell. In Tibet, these conches are blown, where they are called Sankha. The sound proclaims the glory of the holy name. This instrument is blown in Hindu and Buddhist temples during prayer and/or meditation, usually on two or three conches simultaneously.
Feng Shui: The conch shell holds an important place in Feng Shui, as it is attributed with various positive properties: a sense of peace and comfort in the home, as well as protection. According to Feng Shui, placing such a shell in the south corner of the living room enhances the resident's popularity and reputation. Place smooth conches in the kitchen to create energy that is harmonious and family-friendly. Keep spiny shells on the windowsill to attract energy that protects the home from misfortune and harm. Always keep a few conches in a basket on a table near the front door for a successful and fulfilling career. Buddhism in Tibet: The conch is generally used to "call to religious gatherings." It is also used to hold "holy water" and as a musical instrument during Puja ceremonies.
