In the year 1850, under a sky that was shrouded in a soft veil of mist, a unique tarot deck was born. It was no ordinary deck of cards, but a collection of mystical visions, captured in delicate illustrations that seemed to float between reality and dream. Its creator, a forgotten artist named John Stabro, lived on the edge of a small French village, where morning mists blanketed the fields. Stabro believed that the mists and clouds were portals to hidden knowledge—fragments of visions that the human mind could not fully comprehend. He created The Tarot of Mists, a deck not intended to prophesy, but to take the reader on a journey through the in-between world, where past, future, and imagination merged. Each card was hand-painted in soft shades of gray, with delicate accents of silver and blue, making them seem shrouded in mist. The Major Arcana consisted of enigmatic figures that seemed to disappear into the distance: The Dreamer replaced The Hermit, a shadowy creature who wandered eternally through the mists in search of lost wisdom. The deck disappeared as mysteriously as it had appeared. Only a few copies are said to have survived through the centuries, hidden in ancient libraries and forgotten cellars. But some say that, on particularly foggy mornings, a stray map can still surface—gliding through the mists, waiting for someone to dare unravel its secrets.
