No one knows when and how the 54 Great Lenormand cards were created. They were not made by the famous French clairvoyant Mademoiselle Lenormand (°1772 -+ 1843), but they were named after her by a French printer in the 19th century. Erna Droesbeke has developed the five themes (astrology, finance, work, relationship and fate) of this card game with the Method of the Four Elements in a practical manual, based on her books about the Great Lenormand: 'Card laying with the Great Lenormand' and 'Question and Answer Workbook with the Great Lenormand Cards'.
