The Happy Buddha is also called laughing Buddha, Fat belly Buddha, Chinese Buddha, or Buddha called happiness. The Happy Buddha is a Chinese philosopher who had the nickname "Poe-Tai Ho-Shang". After his death he was revered as a folk hero and was seen as a bringer of happiness.Often the Happy Buddha depicted as a bald man with a big belly and a happy smile. On his long earlobes you can see that he is noble. The attributes which he has with him or bears are very different and symbolic, this include

Meranti is a collective term for several types of wood that come from Southeast Asia. The wood in the Netherlands is imported mainly from Malaysia and Indonesia. In the Netherlands, uses this very large scale, and long the main (and almost only) tropical wood which has been used in construction. Therefore, the term "meranti" is sometimes mistakenly used as a general term for tropical hardwoods.
