Old bullet from 1876 found in American Indian reserves

Beautiful collection of small and original objects from the so-called ghost towns that originated in the western United States. Often small soil finds that have been excavated with permission from the landowners. Then beautifully placed in a small display case with a beautiful label. The vitirins erase naturally in composition but are very special.

The Wild West is the name for the pioneer society in the period 1865-1900 in the west of the United States, largely west of the Mississippi. The imaginary border (frontier), between the wild west and the more civilized regions east of it, lay for a long time at the Mississippi, but gradually moved further to the west. The exploration, conquest and occupation of the western United States began from the so-called Louisiana Purchase (1803), when Napoleon Bonaparte sold the last French territories in North America to the United States. Between 1830 and 1850 the Northern territories of Mexico were occupied by the US with which this country lost one third of its territory. Today, these include the states of California, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. After the end of the American Civil War in 1865 the colonization of all these areas gained momentum. Around 1900, the Pacific Ocean and the already colonized California were reached. With this, the Wild West ceased to exist as a raw, adventurous, partly lawless society of freebooters.
