Chrysoprase (Greek: chrysos, gold and prason, leek) is a variety of the mineral chalcedo-ny, with which it shares the chemical, optical and physical properties. It can contain small amounts of nickel and has a color that can vary from apple green to deep green. Chryso-prase is often used as a gem. Chrysoprase is extracted in Australia (Queensland and Western Australia), Germany, Poland, Russia, the United States (in the states of Arizona and California) and Brazil. Chrysoprase is relatively rare. The mineral is found between layers of weathered, serpentine-containing rock. With bulldozers or other heavy equip-ment, this rock is removed as much as possible. The emerald-green chalcedony is then carefully further removed from the mother rock by hand. Lemon Chrysoprase naturally owes its name to its lemon yellow color. The attributed effect includes: * Stimulates organs in general * Increases brightness * Promotes mental growth * Provides adaptability * Makes forgiving * Allows skin to recover faster * Against heart cramps and arrhythmia * Against bleeding in general
