Stones are very important to various modern Indian tribes (including Cheyenne, Zuni and Navajo Indian tribes). For example, they wear turquoise for protection, decoration and its energetic effect. However, many Indian reservations also have pillars and sculptures, also called “totems” or “vortexes”. Especially the somewhat browner, orange-yellow and light beige shades are appreciated; these are full of quartz and iron. Besides the beauty of the stone, it is also highly valued for its special energy! Although modern Americans have little to do with the power of gemstones, it appears that various American companies and industries (including various well-known computer brands) travel to Sedona with the product when introducing new products and walk between the vortexes/"totems" for a successful launch of the new product! We have chosen the name Pachamama (which stands for mother of the earth) because the vortexes/totem stones were also used in the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilisations!
