Mantis Shrimp (Squillidae) is a family of crustaceans from the class of Malacostraca (higher crustaceans). These animals have a flattened, flexible body and compound eye stalks. They have to compare a highly developed second pair of jaw legs, with the front legs of a praying mantis, which can shoot out lightning fast. They catch their prey by impale them or to give a stump with the highly developed jaw legs.
