A buoy is a floating body with wide variety of forms and purposes. Besides their use for the safe navigation of water, also buoys used to include weather forecasting and the study of climate. A buoy can either anchored or freely float. The word comes from the Middle Dutch-Boeye. Lifebuoy - is a tool to keep a drowning man above water. Some lifebuoys have a light or smoke signals. Often there's also a rope to which the victim can be pulled on board or ashore.
