Prasiolite, green quartz or vermarin is a green form of quartz, a silicate mineral chemical silica. Prasiolite is one of many quartz varieties. Since 1950, almost all natural prasiolite comes from a small Brazilian mine, but it can also be seen in Lower Silesia in Poland.
