A boomerang is a curved object, usually made of wood, that has the profile of an airplane wing and can come back after being discarded. The best known form is the boomerang as a flat curved piece of wood (two wings), but there are also boomerangs with three or more wings, and even one wing is possible if the center is weighted. It is sometimes thought that a boomerang was used for hunting. It probably isn't. It was used as a special feature or to impress other tribes. He is best known for the aborigines in Australia, but boomerangs have also been found in Europe and Egypt. Boomerangs in the Netherlands have been found near Vlaardingen and Velsen from the first century BC. Australian boomerangs were generally throwing wood. A throwing wood (also called hunting wood) goes straight and does not return. It is fast and rotates quickly, making it suitable for hitting small animals such as birds. Prehistoric cave drawings have shown that certain tribes used the boomerang in a traditional dance to 'catch' the air spirits. These were necessary to express certain rituals, which were applied in natural (naked) form. In general, a boomerang is lightweight, and not dangerous. However, it can also be quite heavy, and come back at a good speed. The solution to this is to never lose sight of him, and to step aside if necessary. A boomerang can be left-handed or right-handed. When a right-handed boomerang is thrown like a left-handed, it goes straight. If a boomerang is thrown correctly, it will go straight for the first bit, but will then come back in a circular path. It is possible that afterwards he will make a smaller circular orbit the other way around, thus making an eight figure. The pitcher must take the wind into account; In general, it is only possible to make a boomerang return properly if it is thrown into the wind at a certain angle, with a certain force, a certain rotational speed, a certain angle to the ground, and a certain slope of the runway. This can only be learned through a lot of practice and the properties of all boomerangs differ somewhat in these respects. Learning to recognize / predict the flight is an important aspect of good throwing. This allows the pitcher to somewhat predict where the landing site will be. If necessary (and possible), the pitcher can walk over to get ready for the catch. The amount of wind strongly determines a good throw. It is easiest to throw with little or no wind. With a bit more wind, you can also throw by adjusting the throw. Small mistakes in the throwing technique, however, have major consequences. Above wind force 3 it is not recommended to throw any more. If you do throw it, you can end up with nasty wounds.
