Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is a typical tree native to the South Pacific coast of Central South America. The tree is also known as "Holy Wood" because its blossoms are produced during the Christmas season. The wood is very recognizable by its unparalleled scent. Palo Santo trees are cut down under government supervision by the inhabitants of the South American jungles. The wood is "harvested" from the ground only 4 to 10 years after the tree has released it naturally. It is during this period that the wood ripens, as it were, and gives the healing effect to the perfume of the wood. No tree is damaged during this process. Contains: dipropylene glycol + perfume
