Special and New, Blacknite Quartz is a ferrous Goethite/Hematite with a natural overgrowth of Covelin and Goethite with pink/purple, black, blue and iridescent patina. This is almost like a black aura quartz, but is a 100% natural occurrence, with iridescent blue, pink and yellow radiance. The amount and quality of the patina is variable, with some specimens only partially overgrown, exposing a beautiful white optic to nearly optical individual small to medium crystals in dense and complex arrangements. Great new material ideal for the collectors. Goethite is a ferrous hydroxide mineral. Goethite often forms from the weathering of other iron-rich minerals. But in this mine in Ambositra, Madagascar, this mineral not only agglomerated in the form of Superbly beautiful crystals and clusters, but also with this amazing iridescent color.
