Danburite comes from Charcas in southern Mexico

The mineral Danburite is a boron-containing calcium silicate having the chemical formula CaB2Si2O8. The mineral belongs to the sorosilicaten. The transparent to translucent white, gray or yellowish Danburite a glass to oily shine, a white stripe color and cleavage is poor according to the crystal surface [001]. Danburite has an average density of 2.99, and the hardness is 7. The crystal system is orthorhombic and the mineral is not radioactive.
