Papagoite has an average density of 3.25 and the hardness is 5 to 5.5. The crystal system is monoclinic and the mineral is not radioactive. The mineral papagoite is named after the Papago Indianan tribe from Arizona, United States. Papagoite is a secondary mineral that occurs mainly in the vicinity of other copper-bearing rocks.
