If you have been in Thailand as a tourist and have been introduced to Thai Massage, the fragrance of this balm will always be recognizable. Commonly used are Menthol, eucalyptus and essential oil. Traditional Thai massage, or nuat phaen boran (Thai: นวด แผน โบราณ, "antique massage style"), is one of the world's oldest healing methods. The Thai people saw illness as an imbalance in the body or mind and they sought help in the local temple. They were treated with the four elements of traditional medicine: spiritual support, nutritional support, herbs and massage. Thai massage prevents and resolves both physical and psychological complaints and stimulates the circulation and the lymphatic system, which gives you energy again. Chronic fatigue, back and neck complaints, headaches, stiff muscles and joints and poor blood flow can be remedied by Thai massage. It relaxes the tissues (skin, muscles, nerves and joints) and improves blood circulation. It fights stress and reduces feelings of depression. On a spiritual / spiritual level, it imparts a sense of continuity to the body; it provides flow and activates Chi (Lom).
