Bohemia (Czech: Čechy, German: Böhmen) is a historic region in the Czech Republic. It covers about two thirds of the Czech territory. The rest of the Czech Republic is part of Moravia and a small part of Silesia. The name for the Bohemian inhabitants, Bohemian or Bohemian, was also used in France, Belgium and the Netherlands to refer to the gypsies who claimed to be from Bohemia in France. Since the nineteenth century, the name has also been used to indicate free-spirited persons with a non-traditional lifestyle. This one is probably why a certain line in art and consumables is called "Bohemian"
