Apache is the collective name for the Nth, one of several divisions consisting migrant people from southwestern North America, which is originally from the subarctic Canada. They belong to the language family of Na-dene. The Nth, like their neighbors the Dineh, descendants of a Na-dene-speaking nomadic people from the McKenzie Basin in Canada. After a period of centuries migrated southward these groups eventually settled in the southwest of the present United States. Over the period of arrival, the opinions are divided, but it is certain that lived here in the 15th and 16th century, a people who called himself Nth. Apache is a exoniem, coming from a Zuni word meaning "enemy" means. Nth is the term they use for themselves, and means 'people'. The Nth speak the language of the Southern Na-Dene, and exhibit at linguistic level a number of agreements with the Athabaskische speakers from Alaska and western Canada. The modern term Apache is used to distinguish it from the related Dineh (Navajo) in Arizona, Utah and Colorado, which have similarities in cultural and linguistic level. The Nth, historically a tough and strong nomadic people, were centuries in continuous battle with the Spaniards and Mexicans. The first raid on the Spaniards in Sonora found in the late 17th century place. The US military was experiencing after several confrontations that the "Apaches" both cruel and implacable fighters were as skilful strategists.
